Tim Kennelly

Australia Captain, ABL All-time League Leader - Hits, HRs, RBIs, Phillies (AAA)

"Jason and Josh have a rare understanding of throwing mechanics – not just the theory, but how it actually applies to baseball players. They combine the science behind throwing with a deep knowledge of the game and translate it into practical guidance.

Working with them has helped me understand how I move as an athlete and where I need to focus my preparation. Knowing what to look for allowed me to work on areas that needed attention before they became issues. Their support played an important role in helping me perform at a high level for longer than I expected. They’re the physios I trust when it comes to helping players manage the demands of throwing."

Bjay Cooke

Oakland Athletics Pitcher

"I first met Jason and Josh as a 16-year-old with pain in the back of my elbow whenever I pitched. It turned out to be a bone stress injury that meant no throwing and months of rehab. At the time, I thought the focus would be on the elbow alone, but one of the biggest lessons I learned was that looking after your arm is about way more than just the arm.

We worked on everything from shoulder and scapular control to spine mobility, lower body strength and throwing mechanics. I had no idea that something as simple as a stiff landing hip could increase the stress going through my elbow. The more I understood how my body was supposed to move, the more effective my throwing, recovery and arm care routines became.

That injury ended up teaching me lessons that I still use today as a professional player. The habits, routines and understanding I developed during that rehab have become a big part of how I prepare, recover and stay on the field.
Every time I'm back in Australia, I make a point of getting back to the clinic. What I appreciate most is that there's always something to learn. Whether it's strength testing, movement assessments or reviewing how my body is handling my workload, I always leave with more clarity and confidence in what I need to focus on next.

If there's one thing I've learned through my baseball journey, it's that arm care isn't about finding a magic exercise. It's about understanding how your body works, taking care of it consistently and addressing the little things before they become bigger problems."

Warwick Saupold

MLB Pitcher & Team Australia

"I've been working with Jason and Josh for the past three ABL seasons. Throughout my career, I've always felt like I had a pretty solid understanding of arm care and preparation. Having spent time with the Detroit Tigers and playing professional baseball for a long time, I'm no stranger to sticking to a routine and doing the work.

What stood out to me was that they look beyond my shoulder, breaking down how I was moving through my entire body, and identifing specific areas that had probably become more important as I've gotten older.

We spent time improving my upper back and spine mobility, cleaning up some movement patterns, and making sure my rotator cuff strength and function stayed where it needed to be.

Like a lot of pitchers, I'd dealt with some level of shoulder discomfort for a few seasons. But by the end of last year, I was able to finish the season strong and even picked up a little extra on my fastball.

One thing I've learned over my career is that throwing can look simple from the outside, but there are a lot of moving parts underneath it. The things your body needs at 16 aren't always the same things it needs at 26 or 36. Jason and Josh are excellent at finding those details and giving you specific things to work on rather than simply guessing.

I highly recommend them to any player who wants to throw harder, recover better, stay healthy and get the most out of their career."

Tyler Beardsley

Professional Pitcher, 96 mph

"I've played several Australian Baseball League season and spent a lot of my career chasing ways to get the most out of my body and my throwing. As pitchers, we all know that every season presents different challenges.

One thing that really stands out working with Jason and Josh is their ability to go back to basics and identify the root cause of an issue, rather than just treating the symptoms.

At one point I was dealing with a lot of forearm pain whenever I pitched. Naturally, we spent some time looking at the arm, but after a thorough assessment they found the real problem wasn't my forearm at all. My landing hip was stiff, my upper back wasn't rotating well, and I was lacking some extension through my thoracic spine. Those limitations were affecting my follow-through and forcing my arm to do extra work.

We focused on improving those areas and, surprisingly, hardly treated the arm itself. It gave me a whole new appreciation for the kinetic chain and how important it is for every part of your body to contribute to the throw. Since then, I've put a much greater emphasis on maintaining hip mobility, thoracic spine movement and quality movement patterns during my training.

What I appreciated most was that everything they recommended made sense. The exercises weren't random. Every drill, stretch and strength exercise had a purpose and related directly back to my throwing.

Even as someone who takes pride in being strong and spending time in the gym, they picked up little details in my movement that I had overlooked. Things like single-leg control, stability and positioning through lunges and Bulgarian split squats helped me move more efficiently and access my hips better throughout my delivery.

The biggest takeaway for me is that the small details matter: 1% improvements add up over time. Many of the things Jason and Josh taught me are still part of my routine today, helping me stay healthier, move better and continue performing at a high level wherever I've played."

A word from your trainers

Over the years we've worked with thousands of players, from up and coming youth to professionals. Each one has their own story to tell, and their development has inspired us to build YBP. When it comes to arm care for baseball players, we know what works because we've seen it, time and time again, through players like these guys.

We can't wait to share it with you.
